Project & Control Cost Manager – Manufacturing

What you will do

The professional selected may work on a variety of different types of projects, ranging from simple tasks like organizing production, machines, supplies to more complex endeavours such as building new facilities or implementing new technology systems. Regardless of the project at hand, their goal is always the same: to ensure that projects run smoothly and efficiently while meeting all relevant deadlines and quality standards.

Location: Vacarisses Plant, Barcelona.

How you will do it

As Project Manager, you will work within the business unit coordinating different projects and be the point of contact between clients, technical teams and the different operation departments to ensure objectives fall within the timeline and budget set. Your responsibilities and tasks will include:

  • Developing an overall project plan based on company policies and procedures, including identifying milestones and deadlines
  • Coordinating with other team members to make sure that all aspects of the project are completed on time
  • Managing the project budget by monitoring expenditures to ensure costs stay within the allotted amount
  • Managing the project schedule to ensure that milestones are met and deadlines are not missed
  • Creating reports about project status and progress for upper management, including updates on issues that have been identified
  • Managing project team members to ensure that they are working effectively together and that they meet their deadlines
  • Reviewing project plans to determine feasibility, scope of work required, and potential risks involved
  • Overseeing all aspects of a project, from planning through completion to ensure that it meets requirements and objectives
  • Managing the project team to ensure that they are meeting deadlines and achieving goals while adhering to standards of quality
  • Cost Planning: Involves estimating the total cost of the project, allocating the budget to different activities or resources, and establishing a baseline to measure cost performance
  • Cost Change Management: Ensuring that cost change requests are approved and managing cost changes as they occur
  • Cost Reporting: Generating periodic reports on the financial status of the project, including variance analysis and future forecasts
  • Cost Optimization: Identifying areas where expenses can be reduced without compromising the quality of the project
What we are looking for

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in fields such, Engineering or related areas.
  • Master's degree in Project Management is highly valued.

Certifications:

  • Knowledge of project management software such as Microsoft Project or similar.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Certified Cost Professional will be a plus

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading projects, in manufacturing industry.
  • Specific experience in cost management and project budgeting.

Skills:

  • Analytical skills to evaluate and control costs.
  • Leadership and effective communication skills to coordinate teams and stakeholders.
