We are currently looking for a Category Buyer responsible for executing sourcing strategies for IT Equipment & Services to deliver cost savings, improve quality and risk mitigation. Develop and implement IT Services & Equipment strategies aligned with the company's objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end procurement processes, including tendering, negotiations, catalogues and contract management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure procurement strategies meet business needs.
- Develop a supplier base that supports the company's growth, quality, and innovation objectives.
- Manage supplier performance, including conducting regular reviews and addressing any issues or concerns.
- Ensure all contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and risk management standards.
- Monitor contract performance and compliance, managing any changes or renewals as necessary.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and service levels.
- Develop total cost of ownership (TCO) models to evaluate and optimize procurement decisions.
- Monitor and report on cost savings achieved and projected against targets.
- Work closely with IT team, finance, operations, and project management teams to align procurement activities with project timelines and budget constraints.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on procurement activities, category strategies, and market developments.
- Identify and mitigate risks, including supply chain disruptions, financial instability, and compliance issues.
- Develop contingency plans and ensure supply continuity for critical projects.
- Implement best practices in procurement processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of the procurement function.
- Keep abreast of industry best practices and innovations in IT procurement.
- Support the standardization of procurement processes and cataloguing.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations preferred.
- Specialized in procurement of Consultancy & Services, experience in international environment, SAP ARIBA experience is an important plus.
- Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Excel for data management and reporting).
- Proficiency in English, Spanish and French (nice to have); other European language is welcome.
