An environmental research center based in Barcelona is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to support sustainability assessments of energy transitions. The successful candidate will collaborate on research projects, publish scientific papers, and supervise students. Ideal qualifications include expertise in industrial ecology, environmental engineering, and fluency in English and Spanish. Postdoctoral researcher on energy transition sustainability assessment
At the Institute for Environmental Science and Technology, a Maria de Maeztu Center on environmental studies based in Barcelona, Spain, and one of the leading centers in environmental science in Europe, we are looking for a colleague to support the further development of tools for the sustainability assessment of energy transition.
The person will join the interdisciplinary group of scientists of the LIVEN Lab, led by Cristina Madrid. LIVEN is part of the SosteniPra research group and works on our European and Spanish funded research projects. At LIVENlab we develop participatory methods and work with open access tools like our ENBIOS or the Calliope Framework.
The person will be hired full time for 1 year with possibility of renewal. There is a 3-month probation period. The postdoctoral researcher will complete and work on a career development plan. They will work in person at the ICTA building although remote work for a few days a week can be considered. Salary is negotiable according to experience and dedication. Health insurance is covered. Expenses derived from research activities will be covered. We will support visa applications if needed.
