Una empresa de soluciones de propulsión busca un(a) Gerente de Operaciones y Almacén para supervisar las actividades logísticas de ventas post-venta. Este rol implica asegurar la eficiencia y seguridad en las operaciones del almacén, coordinar con diversos equipos y liderar a un equipo en un entorno internacional. Se requiere experiencia mínima de 10 años en logística operacional y un dominio avanzado del inglés. El puesto está basado en Valladolid, España y puede incluir viajes ocasionales a otros centros de la empresa.

Formación

  • Mínimo de 10 años de experiencia en logística operacional.

Nature and Scope of Responsibilities Exercised

Reporting to the Global After‑Sales Logistics Director, he/she will:

  • manages his team in order to ensure the achievement of assigned objectives in terms of quality, costs, deadlines, human resources, environment in line with the management strategy.
  • The activities under his/her responsibility are spread over the following areas:
    • Supplier Relations
    • Part supply
    • Transport team relations
    • Warehousing
    • Customer Relations
    • Sales Forecasting and piloting Inventory Management
    • Logistics documentation/projects on a global scale
  • Manage the End‑To‑End after‑sales logistics activities of the warehouse and ensure the daily operations in relations with Warehouse team.
  • Organize and harmonize the operation of the workshops to ensure the achievement of the performance objectives (Quality, Costs, Delivery Times, Human Resources, Environment, and Safety) and contribute to creating value for the customer.
  • Contribute to defining the strategy for Europe operations as well as to developing and implementing management's improvement plans.

Purpose of the Job
  • Ensure that end‑to‑end operational activities run efficiently, safely, and cost‑effectively, with a strong focus on warehouse performance, service level, and continuous improvement.
  • Be the window person for the Warehouse Operations.
  • Act as a Key Interface
    • Coordinate with procurement, planning, sales, customer service, and warehouse/3PLs team.
    • Be the main operational point of contact for customers and suppliers.
    • Support new customer onboarding, go‑lives, and warehouse launches.
Main responsibilities
  • Managerial activities:
    • Supervising his team (Documentation and Project Responsible, Customer Relations and Protection, Supplier Relations and Supply Responsible, etc.) and developing a dynamic.
    • Manage the human resources within his area of responsibility, including:
      • defining objectives and supervising the team's activities while ensuring the maintenance of individual and collective performance;
      • conducting team evaluations (performance reviews, assessments, recognition, etc.);
      • guiding the development of his team's skills (technical and behavioral) and autonomy by establishing appropriate training programs and ensuring their implementation;
      • defining and conducting recruitment needs within his area of responsibility and determining an appropriate strategy.
  • Operational Activities:
    • Define the department/unit's strategic direction (three‑year plan, skills, projects, digital tools, etc.) while respecting the business unit's strategy;
    • Define and monitor the activities carried out by team members (Documentation and Project, supplier management, transport team relations, customer management, sales forecasting, warehousing, inventory management, etc.), ensuring they have the necessary resources to achieve their objectives;
    • Validate deliverables produced by the team, respecting quality, cost, and deadline objectives, and within the defined scope of autonomy;
    • Define the processes and indicators for the unit according to company’s standards and verify their proper implementation False;
    • Managing the performance of his sector: monitoring performance indicators and presenting them to the after‑sales logistics hierarchy;
    • Proactively proposing solutions to management, developing and implementing action plans to achieve performance objectives;
    • Monitoring the budget for his department/service, managing and prioritizing its use (expenses cuesta staffing);

    • Building decision/financing/design files and managing the implementation of projects until their operational implementation with the achievement of the expected Quality, Costs, Deadlines performance;
    • Defining, developing and deploying methods, processes and tools to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Autonomy and Latitude of Action

    The Operations and Warehouse Manager operates with a high level of autonomy in managing day‑to‑day operations and is empowered to make independent decisions within the approved operational framework.

Main Relations

- Mainly all SC functions.
- Team members for daily management.
- The Aftersales Logistics Project Managers.
- The Transport & Packaging departments to guarantee the overall performance, quality, costs, deadlines of after‑sales logistics and the development of breakup plans.
- The S&OP teams to provide visibility on the level of operational activity and associated constraints.
- The Horse plants.
- The Purchasing for the management of supplier and logistics service provider performance and for the purchase of services.
- The Cost Controlling for cost monitoring.
- The Supply Chain Process Engineering teams to ensure the standard processes to be used and provide visibility on technological improvements.
- Contacts at the same level of responsibility in partner business units (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Engineering, etc.) – information sharing and action plans.
- He/she presents the progress/bilan Warehouse Operations to the directors of the Supply Chain Directorate.

2. External working relationships with: - Service providers
- Customers, subsidiaries, and partners
