Nature And Scope Of Responsibilities Exercised
Reporting to the Global After‑Sales Logistics Director, he/she will:
- Manage his team to ensure the achievement of assigned objectives in terms of quality, costs, deadlines, human resources, environment in line with the management strategy.
- Oversee activities in Supplier Relations, Part supply, Transport team relations, Warehousing, Customer Relations, Sales Forecasting and Inventory Management, as well as global logistics documentation and projects.
- Manage the end‑to‑end after‑sales logistics activities of the warehouse and ensure daily operations in relation with the Warehouse team.
- Organize and harmonize the operation of the workshops to ensure the achievement of performance objectives (Quality, Costs, Delivery Times, Human Resources, Environment, and Safety) and contribute to creating value for the customer.
- Contribute to defining the strategy for Europe operations as well as developing and implementing management’s improvement plans.
- Ensure the implementation of management’s strategy within his area of responsibility.
Purpose of the Job
- Ensure that end‑to‑end operational activities run efficiently, safely, and cost‑effectively, with a strong focus on warehouse performance, service level, and continuous improvement.
- Act as the window person for the Warehouse Operations.
- Serve as a Key Interface, coordinating with procurement, planning, sales, customer service, and warehouse/3PLs team.
- Be the main operational point of contact for customers and suppliers.
- Support new customer onboarding, go‑lives, and warehouse launches.
Main Responsibilities
- Managerial activities: supervising the team (Documentation and Project Responsible, Customer Relations and Protection, Supplier Relations and Supply Responsible, etc.) and developing a dynamic workforce.
- Manage human resources within his area of responsibility, including defining objectives, conducting team evaluations, guiding skills development, and recruiting as needed.
- Operational activities: define the department/unit’s strategic direction (three‑year plan, skills, projects, digital tools, etc.) while respecting the business unit’s strategy.
- Define and monitor the activities of team members, validate deliverables against quality, cost, and deadline objectives, and ensure proper implementation of defined processes and indicators.
- Monitor performance indicators, present them to after‑sales logistics hierarchy, and proactively propose solutions and action plans.
- Monitor the budget for his department/service, manage and prioritize its use, support new projects and information systems deployment, and adapt processes and standards accordingly.
- Contribute to new warehouse projects, establish associated organization, support change management and innovation, and ensure coherence between warehouse management objectives and global objectives.
- Build decision/financing/design files and manage project implementation until operational deployment, achieving expected Quality, Costs, and Deadline performance.
- Define, develop, and deploy methods, processes, and tools to improve customer satisfaction.
Autonomy and Latitude of Action
The Operations and Warehouse Manager operates with a high level of autonomy in managing day‑to‑day operations and is empowered to make independent decisions within the approved operational framework.
Main Relations
- Internal working relationships: daily collaboration with all SC functions, team members, Aftersales Logistics Project Managers, Transport & Packaging departments, S&OP teams, Horse plants, Purchasing (supplier and logistics service provider performance), Cost Controlling, Supply Chain Process Engineering teams, and partner business unit contacts.
- External working relationships: service providers, customers, subsidiaries, partners, and parts suppliers as needed.
Skills And Knowledge Required For Holding The Job
- Personnel management practices and ability to lead a team in a demanding operational environment.
- Specific business knowledge (sales forecasting, supply, customer relations, etc.).
- Knowledge and practical experience of the basics of Quality, Cost, and HR.
- Analysis of customer needs and construction of the offer and/or logistics service.
- Change Management.
- Project Management.
- Cross‑functional work ability.
- Managing uncertainty and adaptability.
- Ability to summarize and analytical skills.
- Benchmarking (comparative study).
- Active customer listening and sense of relationships.

- Logistics fundamentals and knowledge of information flows (ERP, WMS).
- Advanced knowledge of IS/IT tools such as Excel, Spotfire, BI, PowerPoint.
- Languages: English mandatory, French/Spanish preferred.
Profile
- Experience in end‑to‑end operational logistics (documentation, procurement, warehousing, customer relation).
- Experience managing warehouse activities (inbound, storage, picking, packing, outbound) of at least 10 years.
- Experience of logistics team management.
- Fluency in English.
