A leading automation solutions provider is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for their R&D Center. This role involves designing customized automation systems for fruit and vegetable sorting and processing. Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience in mechanical design, particularly with non-standard equipment, and proficiency in CAD software like Solid Works and Auto CAD. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with a good command of English, are essential. This position is located in Ourense, Galicia, Spain.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical design.

About The Role

The position belongs to Reemoon's R&D Center, responsible for the design and development of non-standard equipment and customized automation systems for fruit and vegetable sorting and processing. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams — including electrical, software, and production engineers — to deliver innovative, high-performance mechanical solutions tailored to customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead or participate in the mechanical design of non-standard automated systems, including sorting, conveying, and packaging machinery;
• Develop innovative mechanical structures and mechanisms to meet specific project requirements;
• Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, Auto CAD, or similar);
• Collaborate with electrical and control engineers to ensure seamless mechanical-electrical integration;
• Conduct design verification, feasibility analysis, and continuous optimization during the R&D process;
• Provide technical support during manufacturing, assembly, and on-site commissioning;
• Manage design documentation, BOMs, and technical standards;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field;
• Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in customized / non-standard automation equipment;

Required Skills

• Proficiency in mechanical design software (Solid Works, Auto CAD, or similar);
• Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, motion systems, and industrial automation;
• Experience in food processing, agricultural equipment, or packaging machinery is a plus;
• Good command of English for technical communication (Chinese proficiency will be a plus);
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities;
• Strong sense of innovation, responsibility, and attention to detail;
