Descripción del empleo

Diamond Foundry Inc. is solving the thermal limitation at the foundation of today's most exciting tech industries -- AI & cloud compute, electric-car power electronics, and 5G/6G wireless. We have managed to produce the world's first single-crystal diamond wafers and are now on a mission to put a diamond behind every chip. We are the rare unicorn that has grown fast and profitably. We received $515m in funding and are executing a multi-$B expansion plan for one of the greenest forms of tech manufacturing: converting greenhouse gas into diamond wafers using zero-emission energy.

The Manufacturing Engineer is a key technical role responsible for the support and sustainment of our equipment manufacturing line. The primary goal is to ensure the equipment is built in a safe, repeatable, and reliable manner while maximizing efficiency. This role requires a strong focus on process development and optimization, utilizing a minimum of 5 years of experience to drive continuous, incremental improvements across the production floor, making it a critical position for maintaining operational excellence and product quality.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, document, and implement manufacturing processes and procedures (e.g., assembly instructions, work instructions) for new and existing equipment builds. This includes continuously seeking and implementing incremental efficiency improvements to reduce cycle time, waste, and cost.
  • Provide daily technical support to the production line, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to tools, fixtures, equipment, and production workflow to ensure consistent and reliable equipment output.
  • Work with an international team to assist in planning equipment builds of new equipment, establish and optimize a process for their assembly, and then help facilitate a ramp to large-scale production.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of technical experience in a manufacturing field.
  • Prior experience in a similar field, small to large-scale equipment manufacturing, or managing a similar assembly line operation is a significant asset; experience with automation is a plus.
  • Proven experience in driving process improvement and equipment optimization, including a track record of successfully implementing new tools, fixtures, or process steps that resulted in measurable gains in efficiency, quality, or safety.
  • English and Spanish Fluency are mandatory. 3 Months of total on-site training in the US and Trujillo are required.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, or Six Sigma is highly desired.

€35,000 - €50,000 a year
