A global adhesive solutions company is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to oversee relationships with SEAT and Volkswagen across Europe. This remote role requires regular travel to production sites in Spain and Portugal. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in automotive sales, strong teamwork abilities, and fluent Spanish and English skills. Formación

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Key Account Management or similar roles.
  • Experience with OEM customers in the automotive industry.
  • Familiarity with Body in White (BIW) and Assembly Line products.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites regularly.
  • Driving license: class B.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and self-management skills.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced key account professional to lead our business with SEAT / Cupra across Europe and Volkswagen in Iberia will manage and grow relationships focused on our adhesive solutions for Body in White and Assembly Line applications. The position is remote, offering flexibility while requiring frequent customer interaction. You will travel regularly to our key production sites in Barcelona, Pamplona, and Lisbon.

GOALS AND MAIN TASKS
  • Representation of the Sika Group with its customer group
  • Securing and expanding business relationships with the aim of sales and earnings growth
  • Supporting the purchasing and development departments as well as the contacts to the customer's decision makers
  • Providing technical advice to the customer together with GPM, PM and R&D
  • Sales and profit responsibility for his customer and product area
  • Preparation and execution of contract negotiations in accordance with MOA
  • Coordination and preparation of product and company presentations
  • Analyzing customer needs and defining the strategy for projects in collaboration with SD and VP
  • Monitoring the market and the competition
  • Handling day-to-day business in the customer plants; technical support for the customer
  • Carrying out budget and business planning for his customer or product area
  • Regular reporting (e.g. NBS, CIP etc.)
Selection of special characteristics
  • Setting quality objectives and related training
  • Determination of correction and prevention measures
  • Positioning of customer needs at new productions and relevant modifications
  • Advice in the development of new products
  • Information about capacity analysis and logistics
  • Knowledge about the customer scorecards
  • Access to the relevant customer portals
RFQ phase

Forwarding of all customer-specific requirements to the specialist departments (product design, logistics requirements, Q-relevant requirements, quantity structure) + CSR requirements

  • Initiation of escalation in the event of target deviation in cooperation with PM (PCP process)
Series phase

Knowledge of customer satisfaction and customer portals; ensuring that customer portals are known in the internal departments

  • Supporting the responsible internal department with customer complaints and communication with the customer
  • Initiate internal escalation in the event of serious deviations
  • Submitting offers and negotiating contracts in accordance with the valid MOA

In addition to the above-mentioned tasks, the job holder is obliged to carry out individual assignments on the instructions of his / her superior, which by their nature are part of his / her work or result from operational necessity.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Key Account Manager, Key Account Engineer, Business Development or Technical Sales role within the automotive industry or an OEM.
  • Proven experience working with OEM customers, ideally managing strategic automotive accounts.
  • Familiarity with Body in White (BIW) and / or Assembly Line products, including technical understanding and production-related processes.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites in Spain (Barcelona, Pamplona) and Portugal (Lisbon), including on-site presence when operational support or issue resolution is required.
  • Driving license: class B
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
  • Strong teamwork abilities; communicative, collaborative, and open when working with customers and internal colleagues.
  • Professional and well-organized work style, with strong self-management, structured thinking, and excellent social skills.
  • Good command of standard business software, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with the Volkswagen Group or SEAT.
  • In-depth knowledge of BIW and Assembly Line products and customer applications.
