An international financial services company in Madrid is seeking a Junior Accountant. This role includes responsibilities such as accounting, preparing invoices for clients, tax return submissions, and supporting audits. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field and at least one year of relevant experience. Proficiency in English at a conversational level is necessary, alongside strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• Minimum of 1 year of experience managing a client portfolio in accounting.
• Full accounting lifecycle experience in the Spanish framework.
• Proficient English level B1/B2/C1.

About us

For its Madrid based office, our client, an international Financial Services structure, is currently looking for a :

Junior Accountant - experience in a Fiduciary or Financial Services environment (m / f)

Mission

Responsibilities (but not limited to)

• Accounting, reporting, and preparing and issuing invoices for several companies.
• Bank reconciliations, preparation and submission of tax returns and SII, and preparation and review of annual accounts.
• Preparing all types of accounts, payments, cash flow statements, reports, financial statements, cash positions, and tax positions for client companies.
• Preparing regulatory reports for third parties.
• Bookkeeping, including accounting entries and related supporting documentation.
• Assisting with audits by providing the required information.
• Obtaining accounting information for tax filings and preparing tax submission files for the STA.
• Supporting clients with financial reporting, including periodic balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and annual accounts.

Profile

Ideally minimum of 1 year of working experience managing a client portfolio as well as full accounting lifecycle experience within the Spanish framework.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Proficient level of English (B1 / B2 / C1) to communicate fluently with clients.

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to effectively manage multiple projects or tasks, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.

A proactive approach to daily tasks and a strong team-oriented attitude.

Interest in working with different cultures.
