At THE BOARD | PEOPLE & TALENT, a firm specialized in recruitment and talent acquisition, we are looking for an international firm of tech consultancy, a java backend developer to design, develop, and maintain backend microservices and APIs within an enterprise‑grade, cloud‑native ecosystem.

Qualifications and Experience

• University degree in Computer Engineering or similar.
• Fluent English (minimum B2 level) and Spanish desirable. Interviews will take place in English.
• 5+ years in Java backend/API engineering; proven domain experience in Payments or Cash Management.
• Develop Microservices: build microservices in Java 17+ (Spring Boot 3), desirable implement event‑driven workflows using Apache Kafka with schema governance, and ensure reliability through best practices.
• Design and Secure APIs: develop in Python 3.11+ (FastAPI), create and document RESTful and event‑driven APIs (OpenAPI 3.1, AsyncAPI) with robust authentication and authorization (OAuth 2.1, OpenID Connect, mTLS, JWT).
