A well-known logistics company located in Barcelona is seeking an IT/OT Support Engineer. The role requires providing comprehensive support for IT health checks, managing end-user services, and maintaining datacenter operations. Formación

Overview

APM Terminals plays an important role in enabling the global Maersk Ocean and Logistics network, serving Shipping Lines, Beneficial Cargo Owners, Freight Forwarders, intermodal logistics providers, and coordinating with local port authorities, customs, and government bodies across our network of transhipment, import and export gateway terminals. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced IT/OT Support Engineer responsible for monitoring Terminal IT health checks related to IT infrastructure, including Network, Storage & Compute, and Service Request & Incident Management (L1 & L2).

This role requires full-time presence at the workplace and is 100% onsite.

Principal Accountabilities
  • End-user support services, including Office applications, desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile phones.
  • Provide support, conduct maintenance, resolve incidents, and implement changes for local IT infrastructure services and assets, including datacenter racks, cabling, network and server equipment.
  • Provide support, conduct maintenance, resolve incidents, and implement changes for local IT/OT infrastructure services and assets, including CCTV/Radio/OCR equipment, biometric readers, radio equipment and Vehicle Mounted Terminals.
  • Support the regional IT service delivery team when they require hands-on onsite IT/OT support for incident and change management.
  • Install and replace end-user and IT/OT infrastructure hardware devices.
  • Resolve incidents within agreed service levels.
  • Provide technical expertise for IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Contribute to and maintain the IT support knowledge base with detailed troubleshooting guides and solutions.
  • Conduct and assist with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and problem solving.
Data Center
  • Support and maintain the datacenter, server and storage environment.
  • Implement and execute remote datacenter monitoring.
  • Resolve datacenter, server and storage incidents within agreed SLAs.
  • Ensure optimum health and operation of datacenter and storage systems and environment.
  • Ensure full compliance to cyber security configurations and standards.
Critical Qualifications / Skills / Experience
  • IT Engineering / Telecommunications education.
  • Knowledge in VMware.
  • Network and communication knowledge (Cisco certification is a plus).
  • ITIL knowledge/certificate.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
