Overview
The IIM Head will coordinate and lead the strategic and operational oversight of cross-functional innovation initiatives, pipeline opportunities assessment, and the performance management in GSM. This role is pivotal in driving the execution of ESTEVE’s organic pipeline, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy, and fostering a culture of innovation, efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration. The IIM Head will also play a key role in enabling transversal project execution across while harmonizing administrative processes in GSM and affiliated functions.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Innovation & Pipeline Oversight: Lead and coordinate the cross-functional coordination and governance of all organic pipeline projects (including new indications, new strategic geographies, reformulations, among others) from the assessment phase through operational rollout.
- Ensure transversal visibility and reporting on project status, risks, and milestones.
- Act as a key interface between GSM functions such as GCD (Global Clinical Development), GMA (Global Medical Affairs), GRA (Global Regulatory Affairs), DS&PV (Drug safety & Pharmacovigilance), IP&B (Intellectual properties & Brands) and GSM QA (Quality Assurance), and Commercial (Marketing, Access, Project Management) and BD (Business Development) if applicable, to ensure seamless integration and execution of innovation in pipeline programs.
- Support the Innovation Advisory Board (IAB) chaired by the CS&MO.
- Support the Program Operations Managers (POMs) in GCD, in aligning project execution with strategic priorities.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and lead a high-performing team within the IIM unit, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the CS&MO and GSM Leadership Team (GSMLT) on innovation and efficiency matters.
- Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including affiliates, advisory boards, key consultants, among others.
- Drive the execution of transversal GSM initiatives (e.g., M&A integrations from GSM, new affiliate creation, platform harmonization).
- Act as key contact person at GSM ensuring efficient communication and alignment among GSM team.
GSM Admin and Operations Efficiency
- Oversee GSM-wide performance tracking and reporting, ensuring alignment with KPIs and strategic goals.
- Identify and resolve systemic inefficiencies and promote simplification across GSM operations.
- Serve as a single point of contact for vendor coordination in collaboration with GSM QA and other stakeholders.

Job Profile
Qualifications and professional experience :
- Minimum 10 years of experience
- Strong understanding of development, regulatory, medical, commercial interfaces and business acumen in international pharmaceuticals business.
- Proven experience in drug development, clinical operations, or innovation management within the pharmaceutical industry strongly welcomed
- Experienced in strategic positions with business impact
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
- Experience in project management methodologies and performance tracking systems.
- Strategic and integrative thinker with strong business acumen and operational execution ability.
- Hands-on & proactive mindset
- Excellent leadership, senior communication, and influencing skills.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in complex environments.
