RECRUITMENT CONTEXT:
As we continue to strengthen and streamline our financial operations in Germany and Austria, we are looking to hire a skilled finance professional to support our expansion and ensure compliance across the group.
POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a Senior Financial Controller – DACH Region to join our team. Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (HGB & IFRS)
Leading and coordinating month-end closings, including inventory and accrual reporting
Performing variance analyses, forecasts, and performance reports
Managing intercompany reconciliations and payment processes
Preparing and monitoring budgets in collaboration with hotels and departments
Overseeing audits and ensuring legal and tax compliance in Germany and Austria
Acting as the main point of contact for finance and tax matters internally and externally
Supporting M&A projects and financial decision-making through KPI analysis
Optimizing financial processes and ensuring timely, high-quality reporting
Participating in cross-functional projects and supporting portfolio transitions
DESIRED PROFILE:
Required degree: Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, or a related field
Desired experience: Several years in a similar role, ideally in the hospitality industry or a multi-entity environment
Technical skills: Strong knowledge of HGB & IFRS; solid command of financial reporting tools and ERP systems (SAP-like); excellent Excel skills
Personal qualities: Analytical mindset, structured approach, strong communication skills, initiative, and a collaborative attitude
Languages: Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
Mobility: Willingness to travel occasionally; regular presence (2–3 days/week) required in either Kiel or Madrid office
