A leading luxury brand in Madrid seeks a Financial Controller responsible for Internal Control and compliance across the Mediterranean region. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree, five years of experience in a multinational company, and strong internal control or audit experience. The role includes overseeing financial operations, conducting budget preparation, and supporting retail teams. Candidates must be adaptable, results-oriented, and fluent in English, with additional language skills preferred.

Overview

Louis Vuitton is looking for a Financial Controller with a strong focus on Internal Control and compliance for the Mediterranean region.

The Financial Controller oversees Internal Control / Financial Operations monitoring as well as Financial Planning and Analysis within the whole Mediterranean zone (Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Greece, Israel, Turkey and Kazakhstan). The role is a key business partner for the region and is based in the regional finance team at the Madrid Head Office, reporting to the Regional Controlling and Internal Control Manager.

In a fast‑growing environment, the Financial Controller supports retail teams, regional business departments and regional management, providing quality reports, financial analysis and operational support to the Mediterranean Region and the Paris EMEA Zone. Frequent travel within the region is required to perform store operations reviews, reinforce internal control and guarantee compliance with local regulations.

Internal Control & Compliance
  • Guarantee a strong level of internal control within the region for head office and stores, notably through regular operational reviews in all Mediterranean stores including action plans.
  • Continuously improve procedures within the region, with a positive business mindset and keeping local regulations in mind.
  • Ensure compliance within all major Group and local Internal Control official frameworks such as ERICA for LVMH or the Corporate Governance program.
  • Perform monthly key internal controls (sensitive transactions, payments, inventory).
  • Foster awareness of risk and control – encouraging a business culture that seeks continuous improvements.
Optimize Regional Profitability
  • Close follow‑up of operational expenses.
  • Provide each head office department details of budget and cost follow‑up, and follow-up on store operations.
  • Guarantee a fluid purchasing process in line with LV standards and budget.
  • Maintain contingency plans, analyse cost risk and other related activities.
Financial Planning & Business Analysis
  • Follow‑up of retail activities, KPIs and financial operations.
  • Be a key business partner for the different heads of operation.
  • Provide related financial analysis, KPI reports and operational insights.
  • Prepare presentations and business reviews for the regional teams.
  • Handle add‑hoc bidding processes as per group guidelines.
Budget & Recurring Financial Process
  • Carry out budget preparation and revision, in coordination with Paris EMEA.
  • Prepare monthly closing and provide CFO and General Management with relevant analysis of the P&L vs. last year, budget and other metrics.
  • Participate in month‑end meetings with EMEA Zone, presenting and analysing results.
Qualifications

Master’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a business controller in a multinational company, preferably in the retail sector. Strong internal control / audit experience is a strong plus for the Mediterranean region.

Travel Requirements

Willingness to travel within the region to support stores in their daily operations through operational reviews and training (minimum one week per month).
