Job Description :

EVENT PROJECT MANAGER – BARCELONA or MADRID

We seek an experienced and motivated event project manager to lead planning and execution of various events, including conferences, corporate events, incentives, and meetings for international and national clients.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, your responsibility will be to meet and exceed all client needs from brief to final delivery.

Responsibilities

• Managing multiple events and clients simultaneously
• Training and coaching project managers and coordinators
• Liaising with national and international clients to understand event briefs and objectives
• Taking end-to-end ownership of event planning and management
• Collaborating with sales, creative, art design, and production teams to develop event assets
• Ensuring events are planned and executed within budget
• Booking venues, contractors, and suppliers in Spain and internationally
• Recruiting, managing, and briefing event staff and third-party suppliers
• Attending events and managing onsite teams to exceed client expectations

Location & Commitments

Full-time role with flexible hours and up to 3 days of remote work per week

Occasional evening and weekend work for events

Based in Barcelona or Madrid office

Candidate Requirements - Essential :

Fluent in Spanish (spoken and written)

Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Additional languages are a plus

Minimum 10 years of experience in event planning or management, including freelance experience

Experience in training and mentoring junior staff

Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management

Proven success in planning or leading profitable events

Negotiation skills with suppliers and contractors

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Strong multi-tasking and stress management abilities

Creative and execution-focused thinking

Excellent knowledge of Spain, especially Barcelona and Madrid

Desirable :

Degree in event management or related field

Experience in training and mentoring junior employees
