We are looking for an Environment, Health & Safety Technician to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe working environment and fostering a strong safety culture within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate safety initiatives in Spain.

You will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental policies, conducting risk assessments, coordinating mandatory training programs, maintaining up-to-date records, and implementing best practices to minimize workplace hazards. Additionally, you will collaborate with external occupational health services and ensure all regulatory requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Occupational health and safety plan: Monitor and review the company's occupational health and safety plan, ensuring continuous alignment with national regulations and standards.
  • Risk Assessments: Oversee the continuous assessment and execution of workplace risk evaluations across all company facilities.
  • Contractor Safety Management (CAE): Ensure compliance with safety regulations when collaborating with contractors and partner companies.
  • Internal & External Audits: Conduct audits on site to verify compliance with HSE regulations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Health Surveillance: Coordinate with external occupational health services (SPA) to oversee employee health monitoring programs, including scheduling medical examinations and maintaining records.
  • Training & Awareness: Ensure HSE training programs to foster a strong safety culture within the company. Ensure that all mandatory HSE training programs are conducted for each job position, maintain updated training records, and ensure all information is kept current.
  • PPE & Emergency Measures Oversight: Ensure the proper supply and usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and fire protection systems (PCIs).
  • Minimum requirement: Higher Technician Diploma in Occupational Risk Prevention (CFGS en Prevención de Riesgos Profesionales).
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety with specializations in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, and Applied Psychosociology.
  • Additional training in Environmental Management is a plus.
