A prominent international terminal operator is seeking a Construction Project Manager in Algeciras, Spain. The role involves overseeing civil engineering projects for the TTI-Phase-B expansion, managing contracts, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and budgets. Candidates should have a master's degree in civil engineering and at least ten years of experience in construction site management, preferably in the port or logistics sectors.

Overview

As part of our joint- venture with Total Terminal International Algeciras (TTI), CMA CGM is looking for a Construction Project Manager. TTI is seeking a Construction Project Manager responsible for overseeing all civil engineering and infrastructure aspects of the expansion project "Phase B."

Oversee implementation of all civil engineering projects related to TTI-Phase-B expansion from feasibility through construction, final handover, and warranty period.

Structure design and works supervision, coordinate the tender process to select the Owner Engineer. Define construction tender strategy and supervise the construction tender process in coordination with the procurement department and head-office support. Represent the Employer during construction and manage contracts for all stakeholders, including surveyors, consultants, and contractors. Ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, schedule, and budget requirements. Establish project management processes for coordination with relevant fields (operations, equipment supply, IT contracts), including HSSE and E&S matters. Develop and regularly assess overall project schedules and critical path. Prepare regular reports for TTI management with KPI tracking on budget, variations, and progress.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum ten years' experience in construction site management, preferably in Port, Logistics, or Container sectors.
  • Proficient in planning, budgeting, and contract management; Skilled in MS Project, CAD, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Effective communication skills in Spanish and English; ability to work in a multicultural environment and interact with both senior management and technical professionals.
  • This position is based in Algeciras, Spain, and reports to the Project Director.
  • Employment contract will be issued by Total Terminal International Algeciras.
