Data Engineer with Spark – Junior – EY GDS Spain - Hybrid

The Opportunity:

This position requires a strong technical background in data integration (ETL / Pipeline), expertise in Pyspark and Spark. The ideal candidate will be passionate about data and will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.

As a member of our team in the EY GDS Spain office in Malaga, you’ll have a chance to extend your knowledge & experience by working on interesting projects with the newest technologies and approaches. You’ll support clients in choosing the most suitable business solution and take part in digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participating in requirements gather and documentation.
• Supporting team in workshops and contact with the user.
• Coding ETL processes in Spark/PySpark.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience.
• High level of Spanish (Native or C1/C2) and English (B2).
• Experience with Spark, PySpark, Python and AWS / Azure.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Ideally, you will also have:

• Experience in the insurance sector.
• Experience in dashboard construction and Power BI.
