A global IT services provider is seeking a Client Relationship Manager - Life Science located in San Carlos de la Rápita, Spain. This role involves managing client relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and addressing client needs in the Life Science sector. The ideal candidate has over 8 years of client-facing experience, a strong understanding of R&D and marketing, and is fluent in Spanish and English. This position offers a hybrid work model with travel to Spain, Portugal, and Italy as needed.

We are opening a new role as Client Relationship Manager - Life Science to form an integral part of the continued rapid growth of Cognizant’s Spanish Sales team, expanding our global service portfolio from Consulting, Technology and Outsourcing services for large accounts in Spain. The role will involve daily exposure to our clients in the Iberia Region and will be reporting into our Life Science Client Partner. Role is located in Barcelona and offers hybrid work model, with some occasional travels (Spain, Portugal & Italy)

Overview

Client Relationship Managers are key contributors to commercial side of Cognizant IT and Consulting Business. CRM will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients. They act as business owners for assigned accounts, leading the day-to-day activities and P&L of these accounts. The CRM works with delivery teams to enhance backlog, optimizing the resource mix and navigating scope changes to ensure client expectations are met. They work towards establishing a positive client experience by conducting client meetings. A CRM's shared measures are margin, revenue, client satisfaction & employee retention.

What are you looking for?
  • Client Management: Develop and nurture strong long-lasting relationships with key clients in the Life Science sector
  • Account Growth: Identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts and manage a portfolio of several million €.
  • Drive RFPs and proactive bids with regards to renewals, extensions, and expansion
  • Client Advocacy: Act as the voice of the client within the company ensuring their needs and feedback are communicated and addressed.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by clients promptly and effectively.
  • Pharmaceutical Industry Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends and developments through our partnership with Hyperscalers, specific trainings and success stories from other geos. Participate to industry events and forums to strengthen market presence
What are we looking for?
  • 8 + years of experience in a client facing role from previous IT Professional services firms / offshore outsourcing industry.
  • Strong focus on Life Science segment, good understanding of R&D, medical affairs, Sales and Marketing
  • Aptitude to influence and communicate effectively with business stakeholders
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset, ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Analytical and reporting skills: Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all client interactions. Provide regular updates and reports to clients on project progress and performance.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish and in English
  • Ability to travel and meet clients when required in Spain, and occasionally in Italy or Portugal.
Preferred Experience
  • MS or MBA degree
  • Experience working with multi-geo teams and offshore
  • Italian speaker
