This role involves overseeing vessel performance, managing technical interfaces, and troubleshooting on-site issues. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in marine engineering with the ability to communicate effectively and build a local supply chain. Fluent English and Spanish are required, alongside a proactive approach to solutions in an international setting.

Formación

• Chief Engineer / Master background with solid experience on DP construction vessels.

We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer or a Master with strong DP Construction vessel experience to join our client’s operational hub in Cadiz, Spain. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a technically strong marine professional to take a leading role in the conversion and operational management of DP construction vessels while helping to develop a local supply chain for spare parts and services.

Requirements

• Chief Engineer / Master background with solid experience on DP construction vessels
• Ability to assess technical issues and clearly explain them to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong understanding of vessel conversions and offshore construction operations
• Existing professional network in the Cadiz region is a strong advantage
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic, international environment

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the technical performance of vessels under charter, including those undergoing conversion for Offshore Wind construction
• Act as the technical interface between the client and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and accurate communication
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues on DP vessels (e.g., power loss events), providing guidance on root causes and solutions
• Build and manage a local supply chain for spare parts and services in Cadiz
• Provide technical guidance on vessel capabilities and limitations, including: DP systems, Cranes, Helidecks, Walk-to-Work (W2W) systems, ROVs, Diving systems, Gangways, Compressor units, Other Offshore Wind–related equipment
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers and operations teams to ensure all vessel equipment operates to required standards
