As a Apprentice Thermal Field Service Engineer you will be responsible for startups, maintenance, and emergency repairs for VERTIV UPS, battery, power distribution, and site monitoring equipment. You will be required to establish, promote and maintain excellent relations with all customers, salesmen, distributors, and others within the area.

Responsibilities:

• Respond, in a professional manner, to all assigned service calls while on duty.
• Read, understand, and comply with all procedures outlined in the Field Procedure Manual.
• Perform all work in a safe manner, and in accordance with established company safety policy.
• Ensure spare parts are properly accounted for using established parts procedures.
• Keep Dispatching Team informed of your schedule and the status of all open jobs.
• Maintain the accuracy of the customer listing by reporting errors.
• Submit weekly paperwork in a timely, accurate and complete manner and in case of Wireless Field Service debrief the performed job in a complete and accurate manner at the Customer’s premises.
• Keep company vehicle clean, neat and properly maintained.
• Report and promotes sales or service leads to the proper department.
• Attend customer meetings as required.
• Being a reference point for key customers in case of emergency and troubleshooting.
• Ensure availability to work during week-end and night in compliance with local labor laws.
• Work closely with department supervisor to assist with day to day operational duties.
• As a User, comply with the Company’s ITC policy.
• To attend to the environmental trainings that are locally required.
• To know and to comply with the waste producer’s requirements established by the current legislation, concerning the handling, transfer and storage of the wastes until their delivery to an authorized waste management company.
• To know and to comply with the procedures, instructions and action plans established by Vertiv Spain.

Required qualifications & Experience

• Secondary school diploma or University degree in Electrical/ElectronicEngineering.
• Basic Level in English.
• Computer Literate.
• Valid Driving License, travel availability, weekend availability (frequently scheduled with little notice).
• Occasional heavy lifting required (30 kg.)
