Formación

• 2+ years of experience as a Product Engineer in the automotive industry or related field.
• Knowledge of AIAG and/or VDA standards is desired.
• Good English language skills (spoken and written); other languages a plus.

Descripción del empleo

The position requires develop applied product engineering, from conceptual design to validation, ensuring compliance with technical, functional, and customer requirements. Coordinate prototype development, specification definition, and technical support to production, collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure efficient and high-quality solutions.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Create, develop, or adapt design concepts based on internal standards, calculations, tests, measurements, test benches, computer simulations, process methods, or customer input.
• Test and release 2D and 3D models or sketches related to the project or production.
• Interface with the customer to define product specifications.
• Coordinate the planning and production of prototype samples.
• Develop and participate in the launch of the Prototype Control Plan.
• Coordinate the calculation of production costs.
• Coordinate the project and project team for industrialization implementation.
• Participate in the publication of Product Engineering standards.
• Define special product characteristics for individual components.
• Carry out material selection, use of standards, and definition of tolerances for manufactured, molded, bent, or printed components.
• Provide technical support to production facilities for the product range in series, for any required corrections due to design changes, updates, or cost reductions.
• Apply new technological analyses as appropriate.
• Actively collaborate with internal and external staff members.

Education / Experience

• Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with mechanical / electronic background
• 2+ years of experience as Product Engineer in automotive industry or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in project management in automotive industry highly desired.
• Knowledge of AIAG and/or VDA standards. IATF procedures knowledge desired.
• Good knowledge of SAP R3, CATIA V5, Team Center, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project
• Effective presentation skills and ability to respond to questions from management and/or customers.
• Knowledge in CAN, LIN communication and OBD requirements, measurement devices as CANoe/ CANape/ INCA, in requirement management systems as DOORS/IRQA highly desired
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and their influences of electronic behavior and failure mode.
• Understanding in FEM analysis and product testing as required in the automotive area.
• Good English language skills (spoken and written); other languages a plus.
• Document management system, ANSYS, MATLAB, 5S techniques knowledge desired.
• Ability to carry out multiple tasks simultaneously without supervision
