A leading manufacturing company is seeking an AME Manager to support maintenance activities across EU & Africa plants. This role focuses on improving equipment reliability and includes responsibilities for implementing maintenance strategies, managing databases, and providing leadership to plant maintenance teams. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential, and knowledge of SQL and MS tools is required.

Mission:

As part of the EU & AF JIT and Structures AME CoE Maintenance Team, the primary function of the AME Manager – support all the Maintenance activities for all EU & Africa JIT and Structures Plants,

support further deployment of the defined robust EU Maintenance strategy and maintenance execution and optimization tools.

The EU strategy targets zero Customer impact due to Equipment failures and considers the EU I4.0 strategy and the technologies involved.

The role will collaborate closely with Maintenance Plant Teams in development of Lear Maintenance Standards from Best Practices within Lear and leading practices and technologies from the industry.

Your tasks:
  • Deployment, and implementation of defined EU maintenance strategy in terms of equipment reliability.
  • Continuous support of the spare parts optimization process using specific reliability and BI tools available.
  • Revision of MFMEA process for critical equipment and conversion into RCM process for the plants using specific reliability tools available.
  • Management and maintenance of Reliability SQL Server (plants databases and middleware SQL queries).
  • Support and participate in further deployment of the Condition Based Monitoring tools as part of predictive maintenance and support future integration of it with our CMMS/EAM tools.
  • Optimization of the planning activities of PMs and PDMs all over the EMEA plants.
  • Further development and enhancement of existing middleware between execution and optimization maintenance tools.
  • Active participation in enhancement and reshaping of the existing LTPM playbook.
Your profile:
  • Degree in Engineering / Mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience; minimum 5 years.
  • Good command of written and verbal English, (German would be a plus).
  • Knowledge of Equipment, Automation, Controls, Poka-Yokes, Electrical, Equipment Safety, MFMEA, FMECA, TPM, RCM.
  • Knowledge of equipment criticality assessment, maintenance strategies, RCA.
  • Very good command of MS-Office, MS-Project, AutoCAD, Power BI, SQL server, and SQL queries.
  • Clear understanding of Lean principles and personal commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Leadership skills, strong communicator, and team player.
  • Autonomous, highly motivated and result oriented working style with demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the working time on average.
Would be a plus:
  • Python programming language knowledge.
  • Knowledge of PLCs + Periphery (Siemens, Rockwell/Allen Bradley/Omron/Schneider/SMC/FESTO).
  • Knowledge of Robots (ABB, KUKA, FANUC, etc.).
  • Analyzing and reporting the electrical and mechanical statuses of existing installations.
  • Knowledge of Vibration analysis according to ISO 18436-2 or qualified as Vibration expert cat. I-II
