A well-established technology company in Jena, Germany, is seeking a C# Software Developer to enhance its team. The successful candidate will design and develop advanced device software and manage customer interface coordination, which may involve some travel. A degree in a STEM field, strong proficiency in C#, and fluency in English are essential. If you're team-oriented and eager to explore new technologies, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative solutions in the semiconductor industry.
Optimus Search is collaborating with a well-established technology company based in Jena, recognised for its long-standing contribution to the semiconductor industry. The organisation specialises in the development of micromechanical and optoelectronic components and plays a key role in advancing plasma processes and laser-based analytical methods used for high-precision material characterisation. Their work bridges the gap between research and industrial application, supporting customers in improving the performance and reliability of semiconductor materials and manufacturing processes. With several sites across Germany, the company fosters a collaborative environment that values technical excellence, innovation, and scientific curiosity. They are now searching for a C# Software Developer to add to their growing team of specialists!
You will design and develop advanced, high-level device software based on a SECS/GEM-compatible framework (C#).
Independently manage customer interface coordination and make necessary adjustments.
Assist with software commissioning, which may include global travel for on-site customer support (approximately 10% of the time).
Maintain close communication with both customers and service technicians, offering solutions to technical challenges and handling complaints.
Your contributions will be vital in designing innovative software solutions and executing them effectively.
Oversee version control and documentation, ensuring they are managed efficiently within a structured software development process.
A degree in a STEM-related field or equivalent technical training with relevant experience.
Strong proficiency in C# within a Microsoft development environment, such as Visual Studio.
Solid knowledge of hardware and measurement techniques, ideally with experience in the semiconductor industry.
A proactive attitude toward exploring new technologies and programming languages.
Fluent English is essential, as our team operates internationally.
We are looking for a team-oriented, communicative individual who can also work independently and with great attention to detail.
