Purpose of the role :
As a Business Developer Representative, you will identify sales opportunities, profile prospective customers, discover their needs, and drive new business through outbound campaigns.
You will help businesses collaborate better, innovate, and grow. As part of the Business Development team, you will be the first contact for many businesses, engaging proactively to build enthusiasm, understand their needs, propose solutions, and guide them on the sales path.
You will work towards individual targets and contribute to team growth across EMEA. The role is phone-based, primarily involving outbound calls to customers.
Responsibilities
- Achieve quarterly SQO (Sales Qualified Opportunity) quotas and meet daily/weekly activity targets.
- Manage assigned accounts to identify high-potential prospects.
- Educate customers about our offerings.
- Make outbound calls and emails, including cold calls, to decision makers, building rapport and assessing needs.
- Understand prospects’ pain points, gather requirements, and align business needs with Cloud solutions through solution-selling.
- Maintain customer data in Salesforce.com, managing leads, contacts, and opportunities.
- Work towards team and individual KPIs like productivity and pipeline growth.
- Document customer interactions thoroughly in Salesforce.com for clarity and continuity.
Requirements
- BA / BS degree or equivalent experience.
- Native German speaker.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Experience in outbound B2B sales or business development, preferably in IT.
- Basic understanding of cloud computing, especially Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong business acumen to connect needs with solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and professionalism.
- Comfortable working with quotas in a phone-based environment.
- Proficient computer skills for efficient work.
Desirable
- At least 1 year in IT outbound sales prospecting.
- Experience with cold calling and managing large accounts.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
- Ability to identify decision makers and stakeholders.
- Proactive, goal-oriented, confident, and competitive.
- Knowledge of the local market and business environment.
