Milengo is currently looking for English>French Canadian junior freelance linguists with a penchant for AI technologies to help us in content localization across various domains and industries.

• Review machine translation-generated content in your target language and post-edit it according to specified guidelines.
• Collaborate with other linguists to implement new AI technologies in content localization.

Must have:

• Interest in working with machine translation and large language models.
• Flexibility/Versatility: Support all workflows from the new product framework, be open to testing new workflows and tools, and provide constructive feedback on AI workflows.
• Reliability/Attention to detail: Carefully read and follow guidelines for different workflows to ensure quality.
• Linguistic expertise: Native Canadian French speaker.

Nice to have:

• CAT tools knowledge: General or specific CAT tool knowledge is a plus, but not required.
• MT experience: Prior knowledge of machine translation workflows is helpful but not mandatory. Openness to learning new technologies is valued.
• Proficiency in German is a plus.

Shortlisted candidates will complete a short test to assess linguistic skills, lasting 30 minutes to 1 hour, conducted in memoQ CAT tool or Word, based on preference. Please include a brief paragraph in your application explaining why you are suitable for this position and your understanding of an AI linguist.

This is a freelance position with no interview step.
