About the Role

Camino Search is partnering with a leading private equity fund specialising in software investments to appoint a high-calibre Head of Finance. This is a pivotal role for an experienced finance leader who has a proven track record of building and scaling finance functions, introducing structure, and supporting rapid growth with a clear path to exit.

You will work closely with the executive team and investors, acting as a strategic partner while remaining hands-on in driving financial excellence across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

• Define and execute the financial strategy in line with ambitious growth plans and long-term exit objectives.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, board, and investors.

Exit Readiness & Value Creation

• Lead financial due diligence, valuation preparation, and exit execution.
• Ensure the business is consistently “exit-ready” from a financial, reporting, and governance perspective.

Private Equity Partnership

• Leverage prior PE experience to manage investor relationships and deliver high-quality insights and reporting.
• Support board-level decision-making with clear, data-driven analysis.

Financial Reporting & Governance

• Own accurate, timely, and robust financial reporting in line with regulatory and industry standards.
• Strengthen controls, compliance, and financial discipline across the organisation.

Operational Excellence

• Design, implement, and optimise financial systems, processes, and controls to drive efficiency, scalability, and profitability.
• Support commercial decision-making through strong financial modelling and forecasting.
