What You'll Do On a Typical Day
Develop local Engineering strategy
- Develop the Engineering organization aligned to the business needs and overall subsidiary strategy.
- Support Product Management with technical expertise regarding temporary works topics
Engineering performance and processes
- Track engineering KPIs and pro-actively work towards improvement by initiating and driving improvement projects.
- Ensure engineering quality assurance and safety standards in subsidiaries, aligned with PERI policies and standards.
Project management
- Cooperate with subsidiary management team for project prioritization on local level (based on technical complexity, size, strategic value, risk analysis etc.) and plan engineering resources accordingly.
- Pro-actively manage key projects (in cooperation with other departments)
Coordination & communication
- Coordination of interfaces with other departments
- Align engineering organization and strategy to market requirements
What You'll Need To Be Successful
- Degree in Civil, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years work experience in construction (preferable experience in temporary systems) and several years of experience in a leadership role.
- Strong technical understanding and experience in construction projects and standards.
- Excellent leadership and organizational competencies.
- BricsCAD or AutoCAD (or similar) operating skills / experience is essential.
- Fluent in Mandarin and Advanced knowledge in English - both oral and written.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain a good working relationship at all levels.
- Intercultural awareness and competence: ability to effectively interact, communicate and collaborate with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
