Technical Project Manager (d/f/m)

In order to support the "Weapon System Integration Rigs" team, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Technical Project Manager. The team is responsible for avionics, flight control, and hydraulics test equipment used for the qualification and certification of various fighter aircraft systems.

This role also offers reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of projects related to test equipment development
  • Manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to align with technical and business objectives
  • Prepare and contribute to technical and commercial proposals, supporting business acquisition activities
  • Facilitate project reviews, status meetings, and stakeholder updates to ensure transparency and risk mitigation
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation in compliance with industry standards and internal processes
  • Monitor and manage procurement activities, supplier performance, and contractual obligations to maintain cost effectiveness and quality
  • Drive technical enhancements through digitization initiatives and process optimization, fostering innovation and efficiency
Desired Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline; alternatively, an equivalent vocational qualification with several years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of project management techniques in a technical or engineering environment; strong understanding of the project lifecycle
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms
  • Basic knowledge of financial planning, controlling, and business administration, ensuring budget adherence and cost efficiency
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trust, collaborate effectively, and resolve complex challenges
  • Proficiency in both German and English (written and spoken)
