Your mission
The Technical Product Manager will be responsible for supporting our customers and sales team to lead training initiatives, approve complex contracts, promote LONGi’s product during fairs and exhibitions while building up-to-date product knowledge across our organization.
YOU WILL…
- Support customers & sales, promoting LONGi and its products (PV + energy storage) and services, build product knowledge and establish excellent communications with customers
- Provide detailed technical support to customers and sales team with focus on utility business in Germany
- Meet and visit regularly with customers to provide updates and insights on the technology and new product offering. Interfacing with clients’ technical departments for technical guidance on products, services, installation features or others.
- Help to manage the product support structure within the region and provide technical input to customer contracts
- Analyse customer feedback on new products and communicate to internal product development team for improvement
- Create product promotion materials on the basis of regional characteristics
- Support after-sales team activity when technical criteria is needed for complex claims
YOU NEED…
- Good communication skills, comfortable in making speech (technical and marketing) in public on conference and trade shows, as well as the trainings to customers
- Fundamental understanding on PV ingot / wafer / cell / module manufacturing technology, with knowledge on system integration basics preferred
- Prior experience in energy storage products
- Familiarity with Levelized Cost of Electricity and ability to pitch products USP regarding this aspect to potential and existing customers of LONGi Solar
- Proven ability to perform technical reviews for complex contract negotiations, with experience in contract management and pre-shipment QA / QC. Post-delivery claims experience is a plus.
- Experience of working at companies within utility‑scale segment (preferred PV product / component suppliers)
- Proficiency in Chinese, English, and German
- Science or engineering degree with 5‑8 years working experience in electronics and / or photovoltaic industry
- Willing and availability to travel frequently sometimes on short notice
