I am working with a well-established international engineering company in the Munich area to recruit an experienced IT Systems Engineer. This is a permanent in‑house role with a hybrid working model, located approximately 20 minutes from central Munich.

The company is a global engineering organisation providing building technology solutions. They focus on delivering efficient and sustainable systems for a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial applications.

The Role

As an IT Systems Engineer, you will join the internal IT team and take ownership of the hybrid cloud and virtualization environment, while contributing to IT security and strategic IT projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and further develop the hybrid cloud infrastructure
• Operate and administer the virtualization platform
• Support and maintain the VDI environment
• Strengthen IT security across server and cloud systems
• Support Windows server administration
• Handle 2nd-level support tasks
• Participate in IT projects, including sub‑project leadership

About you

• Degree in computer science or equivalent qualification with several years of professional experience
• Strong knowledge of hybrid cloud, Microsoft Server, PowerShell, and virtualization
• Experience with server / cloud projects is a plus
• Hands‑on experience in IT security (server & cloud)
• DevOps / IaC experience is advantageous
• Analytical, proactive, and responsible
• Team‑oriented, reliable, and resilient
• Fluent German required
• Willingness for on‑call duty (~20%)
