Evotec is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented VP, Head of Commercial Operations to set up and lead the development and optimization of commercial processes, tools, analytics, and support systems to drive revenue growth, operational efficiency, and customer-centric execution. This pivotal role will focus on improving sales effectiveness, streamlining business processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the commercial organization. Responsibilities include oversight of proposal management, CRM, sales process optimization, and pipeline insights. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in commercial strategy, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration, with the ability to drive impactful change and deliver value to internal stakeholders and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Establish and oversee a unified global proposal process across all Evotec sites, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
  2. Implement and manage key commercial tools to streamline the sales process and drive effective execution.
  3. Guarantee that customers consistently receive exceptional service from Evotec.
  4. Track and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure commercial targets are met, including proposal turnaround times.
  5. Partner with commercial leadership to operationalize go-to-market strategies and act as the primary liaison between legal and other commercial teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment.
Qualifications:
  • Operational background in Pharma, Biotech, or CRO industries with extensive experience in senior executive roles, understanding operational challenges and strategic priorities.
  • Project & commercial management experience, including managing complex projects, optimizing processes, and leading proposal development, CRM systems, and sales operations.
  • Leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience managing teams and driving strategic alignment.
  • Customer focus and KPI-driven mindset, with the ability to deliver excellent customer service and drive performance.
  • Legal and communication skills, with expertise in navigating legal/regulatory landscapes and communicating complex information to diverse audiences.
