Responsibilities

As a Student Finance Service Officer you will play a key role in supporting BSBIs financial operations related to student accounts. You will be responsible for managing student payment processes ensuring the timely collection of tuition fees and delivering excellent service to students while maintaining accuracy and compliance with financial procedures.

Tasks
  • Follow up on overdue tuition fee payments in a professional and timely manner
  • Manage and monitor student payment plans and instalments
  • Send payment reminders and formal dunning communications
  • Communicate with students via email and phone regarding outstanding balances
  • Support the processing of student refunds and account adjustments
  • Maintain accurate financial records and update student accounts
  • Prepare reports on receivables overdue balances and collections performance
  • Liaise closely with internal departments such as Admissions Student Services and Exams and Assessments
  • Support internal finance projects and process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency
Profile
Essential
  • Bachelors degree in business administration, Accounting, Project Management or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable or credit control
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • Competent in MS Office software especially MS Excel (intermediate or above); knowledge of Power BI is an advantage
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work with deadlines and handle confidential financial data
  • Valid right to work in Germany (no visa sponsorship provided)
Desirable
  • Previous experience in the education sector
  • German language skills
  • Experience in customer service or student-facing roles
  • Experience supporting process improvement or administrative projects
