An innovative private university in Berlin seeks a dedicated Student Experience team member to support students in their academic journey. This role involves providing assistance, coordinating events, and fostering community connections while ensuring effective communication. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of relevant experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and proficiency in both English and German. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and various employee benefits, including professional development opportunities.
Mission
The mission of the Student Experience team is to design, develop, and deliver impactful initiatives that enrich every aspect of students’ academic journey. We foster meaningful connections, empower students to grow personally and professionally, and ensure they remain engaged with CODE’s community long after graduation.
We do this across five pillars of student support:
Student Support & Communication, Academic Success, Career Success & Personal Growth, Alumni Affairs & Lifelong Engagement, and Community & Wellbeing.
To organise our work, each Student Experience team member contributes to all Student Experience pillars while focusing on one phase of the student journey — Entry & Community, Learning & Growth, or Career & Connection.
These focus areas ensure that the team thoughtfully shapes, drives, and supports the full lifecycle of the student experience while maintaining a collaborative, generalist approach.
Provide initial support and guidance to students via Slack, email, and in‑person, ensuring a welcoming and solution‑oriented experience.
Support students in navigating external administrative processes by liaising with relevant local bodies (e.g., immigration offices, municipal services, health insurance providers) when appropriate.
Ensure students have access to accurate, timely, and well‑structured information by maintaining clear communication, resources, and documentation across student‑facing channels.
Design and implement student‑facing initiatives, processes, and events that enhance academic success, wellbeing, and community engagement.
Collaborate closely with faculty and other relevant stakeholders to align on student needs, share updates, and run seamless student‑facing initiatives.
Support the resolution of student concerns in a confidential, constructive, and timely manner, escalating when appropriate.
Collect feedback and contribute to evaluating and improving the student experience using insights and data from students and stakeholders.
Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in all programs, communication, and student interactions.
Contribute to key institutional events and Student Experience team routines, supporting activities such as Orientation, Kick‑Off Week, Demo / Expo Days, and Graduation.
In addition to the general responsibilities, you will focus on the Entry & Community phase of the student journey, supporting students as they join and integrate into CODE.
Coordinate and support career‑related events and activities, including workshops and skill‑building sessions, mentoring programs, and professional development sessions.
Plan and organise partner and networking events such as company visits, guest lectures, and career fairs.
Maintain active alumni engagement through communication, newsletters, updates, and involvement in university events.
Support the planning of Graduation, transition preparation, and the integration of new graduates into the alumni community.
Drive initiatives that nurture long‑term connections between students, alumni, and the broader CODE community.
1 to 3 years of experience in student support, student life, event coordination, or related roles.
Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to support students with empathy and discretion.
Ability to coordinate logistics for events, programs, or student services.
Proactive problem‑solving approach and comfort working in a dynamic environment.
Competency in using digital tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Notion, Slack).
Fluency in English (at least C1).
German proficiency (B2 or higher) is required to support students with local administrative processes and communication with external offices.
