## WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

The Global Procurement division manages BASF Coatings Group’s purchasing activities worldwide. We negotiate contracts that add tangible value, focusing on raw materials, technical goods, services, and logistics solutions. Our market know-how and understanding of value chains make us valuable partners for the business units.

- In your role, you will leverage business experience to develop our portfolio, focusing on IT Software, and manage supplier relationships.

- Your responsibilities include conducting market analysis, evaluating suppliers, monitoring trends, and identifying price opportunities for our software and licenses.

- You will develop category strategies, including supplier segmentation, budgeting, forecasting, and creating business cases, emphasizing supply security and cost competitiveness.

- You will lead procurement strategy implementation by providing market intelligence, setting negotiation targets, and managing supplier relationships and development actions.

- Coordination with Digitalization Units within the Coatings Division on market development and supplier improvement will be part of your role, along with building and maintaining strong supplier relationships, ensuring quality and delivery standards, and mitigating procurement risks.

- You will continually enhance your expertise through research, training, and conferences, collaborating with global teams and stakeholders to develop and implement procurement strategies for coatings-specific software solutions.

## WHAT YOU OFFER

- A university degree in IT, business administration with an IT affinity, or relevant professional experience.

- Deep understanding of software architectures (e.g., On-Premise vs. Cloud, Microservices, APIs), IT security, data protection, licensing models, SaaS platforms, and license management tools.

- Experience in evaluating software solutions regarding functionality, integration, scalability, and security.

- Ability to conduct needs assessments, TCO analyses, ROI evaluations, and experience in contract review and management.

- Strong team player skills, capable of working independently on complex procurement projects.

- Excellent communication skills in English to convey technical content to non-technical stakeholders.
