The Role & The Team

As a Software Engineer in Zalando Payments you will be responsible for building and operating systems that manage payment transactions. You will collaborate with other engineers to ensure the smooth and reliable operation of our services through every processing step from authentication to settlement. This role offers the opportunity to drive new feature implementation contribute to process improvements and introduce innovative ideas and technologies to the team.

WED LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

You have a deep understanding of microservice architecture REST services event based systems and API design in order to build scalable solutions.

Have 3 years developing with Java and Spring Boot framework.

You have a good understanding of SQL (preferably PostgreSQL) and cloud architectures / platforms. Prior experience with AWS is a plus.

Youre comfortable with following financial regulations (ZAIT DORA PSD2) in order to foster a safe and convenient payment experience for customers.

You have strong communication and stakeholder management skills as well as the ability to manage projects with many dependencies.

You work with the whole team to design better software and solutions while incorporating feedback and ideas from others throughout the solution design. You accept that the final design may differ from your own ideas and suggestions.
