AWS is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect with a focus on Public Sector customers to join the Germany Public Sector team. You will join a friendly and supportive team, working to bring the latest cloud computing technologies to customers including government agencies, state-owned companies, educational institutions, healthcare and non-profit organisations. Our Public Sector teams help customers build a deeper understanding of cloud technology and application architectures, so they can benefit from everything cloud technology has to offer.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical relationship with customers, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, operational efficiency and best-practice architectures.
• Act as the customer advocate internally to help drive continual improvements to AWS services and inform the roadmap of AWS features and services.
• Help shape the future of the Solutions Architecture organisation by helping to hire, coach and mentor others, and improve how we work.
• Define and invent cloud-native reference architectures with the worldwide AWS Solutions Architect community.
• Create and share best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts) and educate about AWS technology through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences.
• Educate AWS customers about the art of the possible while imagining the impossible and contribute to building the future with us.

Required experience and skills

• Proficient German language skills both written and verbal (minimum C1 level)
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries
• 4+ years in specific technology domains (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
• Experience working with AWS technologies from a DevOps perspective
