Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Operations Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short-/long-term planning for their managed groups. They oversee manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc., focusing on technology development, continuous improvement, and translating customer requirements into advanced manufacturing strategies and processes.

  1. Define a manufacturing roadmap aligning product strategy with customer demand.
  2. Collaborate closely with sales and product management to expand market business activities.
  3. Drive operational excellence via budgets, policies, procedures, and compliance management.
  4. Implement Lean manufacturing strategies for continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
  5. Develop and execute Sales & operational planning to achieve operational efficiencies and exceptional customer experience.
  6. Plan workforce strategies aligned with business needs and foster engagement through recognition initiatives.
  7. Create and nurture an Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Roadmap.
  8. Identify and implement effective operational processes and technologies in collaboration with relevant functions such as ME or Supply Chain.
  9. Lead plant transformation initiatives across departments to support business strategy.
  10. Manage people activities including hiring, training, coaching, development, performance, compensation, and employee relations for direct reports.
  11. Represent manufacturing activities externally as required.
  12. Manage working capital levels according to business needs and commitments.

Candidate Background

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a global manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in operations management.
  • 3-5 years’ experience with LEAN Manufacturing and Business Processes.
  • Experience working with regional/global teams.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven team-building and motivation capabilities.
  • Experience with multiple customers and suppliers in a low-volume, high-mix industry.
  • Leadership in factory transformation and project management.
  • Knowledge of sales & operations planning and supply chain processes.
  • Excellent communication skills with a track record of strategic vision and results delivery.
  • Fluency in English and German.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Compensation
