You will design, implement, and maintain complex network environments that connect offices, R&D centers, and production hubs, including physical copy stations used to upload driving data to AWS.

This role combines technical expertise with strong stakeholder management and project leadership in a demanding, highly interconnected environment.

What you will do
  • Strategic ownership and end-to-end lifecycle management of network components, including firewalls, LAN/WLAN infrastructure, and Cisco Meraki systems from design and deployment to operation and replacement.
  • Definition of service requirements, technical specifications, and procurement processes for network components; ensure seamless integration and documentation.
  • Configuration, commissioning, and ongoing optimization of high-availability network services with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.
  • Establish and oversee monitoring and support processes across Incident, Patch, Release, Change, and Problem Management in alignment with ITIL best practices.
  • Manage and maintain physical copy stations in MOIA hubs used for secure upload of driving data to AWS.
  • Lead and contribute to rollout projects for new sites and systems, including technical consulting, feasibility analysis, and implementation planning.
  • Collaborate closely with AWS and IT operations teams to ensure seamless cloud–on-premises network integration.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and internal stakeholders across multiple disciplines to deliver stable and secure network operations.
What will help you to fulfill your role
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Network Engineer or in a comparable role within complex enterprise or multi-site environments.
  • Deep expertise in Cisco Meraki, LAN/WLAN, and firewall technologies, with a strong grasp of network architecture, security, and performance optimization.
  • Hands‑on experience with AWS networking (VPC, VPN, routing, hybrid connectivity).
  • Proficient in structured IT operations and IT service management (Incident, Change, Release Management; ITIL or similar frameworks).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, across both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Self‑driven and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Business Fluent in German (C1) and English (C1), both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for site setups and hub projects.

Nice to Have:

  • Cisco certification (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent).
