Our expanded portfolio includes some of the biggest titles in mobile gaming, collectively reaching top chart positions around the world and engaging over 25 million daily active users.

Tripledot’s guiding principle is that when people love what they do, what they do will be loved by others.

We’re building a company we’re proud of – one filled with driven, incredibly smart and detail‑oriented people, who LOVE making games.

Our ambition is to be the most successful games company in the world, and we’re just getting started.

This role will be working at Lion Studios

Lion Studios is a mobile games publisher that works with mobile developers to get their games discovered by players around the world. Headquartered in San Francisco, Lion Studios’ creative and strategy teams utilise their expertise to help game developers break through the noise and grow their businesses.

Since launching in 2018, Lion Studios has driven 90% of its games to the Top 10 in the App Store and Google Play and helped drive 16 games to #1 in the US App Store’s Top Free chart.

Role Overview

We’re seeking a creative level designer to join our team and work on our successful titles. As a level designer, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to craft, design, and analyse levels for our existing and future games, contributing to their continued success.

  • Evaluate player data, identify trends, and optimise level funnels for retention and monetisation.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with developers to align level design with overall product goals.
  • Analyse level data to identify high‑churn points and other friction in the funnel, then propose clear, data‑informed hypotheses and experiments to improve performance.
  • Playtest a wide range of in‑development games, providing structured, actionable feedback on level pacing, difficulty curves, challenge, rewards and overall player experience.
  • Work with data partners to frame the right questions, refine tracking needs and interpret results to continuously iterate on level design.
  • Communicate level design insights and recommendations clearly and concisely to non‑design stakeholders, ensuring decisions are understood and executed effectively.
  • Act as a consultant/subject‑matter expert: reviewing builds, giving structured feedback, defining experiments and driving best practices in level design.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising effectively and staying organised in a fast‑moving environment.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • At least 3+ years of experience as a level designer, or in a similar field.
  • Deep understanding of game design principles, mechanics, and monetisation, particularly in mobile genres.
  • Strong creative and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross‑functional stakeholders to align design with the product vision.
  • Advanced analytical skills, ability to spot patterns and trends.
  • Experience with balancing levels and funnel optimisation.
  • Familiarity with Unity 3D editors is a plus but not mandatory.
