We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Purchasing Expert (m / f / d) to support the setup of a new IT Purchasing unit within a leading international automotive company. This role will be crucial in managing the transition from the existing Group IT Purchasing structure to the newly established unit ensuring continuity and efficiency in IT procurement processes.

• Language skills : Fluent in English is required; German is a plus
• Contract type : Freelance

Tasks

• Conduct a comprehensive assessment of existing IT contracts key suppliers and procurement processes.
• Actively communicate with all relevant stakeholders including Procurement IT and Finance to gather and structure necessary information.
• Develop strategies to transition and adapt existing contracts to the new IT Purchasing organization.
• Take advantage of Power BI functionalities to establish a contract overview.
• Lead negotiations and where necessary manage new tender processes for key IT procurement categories.
• Drive IT purchasing initiatives aligned with company objectives and industry best practices.
• Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support the establishment of efficient IT procurement processes within the new organizational structure.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in IT procurement with a strong focus on software purchasing.
• Deep understanding of IT landscapes and procurement processes particularly in the automotive sector.
• Proven expertise in contract management supplier negotiation and strategic sourcing and controlling.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working across multiple departments.
• Ability to analyze complex procurement structures and develop efficient solutions with the use of Power BI.
