Responsibilities

• Financial Operations Excellence: Accounts Receivable Management – Maintain customer master data, monitor credit limits, manage collection processes, and ensure accurate account reconciliations
• Accounts Payable Operations – Process incoming invoices efficiently, create electronic payment runs, and maintain vendor account reconciliation
• Payment Processing – Handle all incoming and outgoing payments across multiple channels (bank transfers, cash, credit card transactions)
• Strategic Financial Support: Financial Reporting – Support the preparation of financial statements under German HGB standards and contribute to month-end / year end closing processes
• Assure local German Compliance
• Corporate Reporting – Input financial results into corporate databases and support group reporting requirements
• Specialized Operations: Customs & Trade – Review customs notifications and manage post-clearance documentation processes
• Expense Management – Verify and process employee travel expenses with attention to policy compliance
• SOX Compliance – Prepare documentation and provide support for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements
• Communication & Collaboration: Stakeholder Relations – Maintain professional correspondence with internal customers and tax consultants in both German and English, in a matrix setup
• Cross-functional Support – Collaborate with various departments and regions (US, Asia, EU) to ensure smooth financial operations

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• Essential Skills: Strong background and studies in Accounting and finance operations
• At least 7-10 years working in a similar role
• Proficiency in German and English (written and verbal)
• Experience with accounts receivable / payable processes
• Knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB, IFRS)
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling
• Advanced Excel and financial software skills (eg. SAGE, QAD)

• Experience with SOX compliance
• Previous work in a multicultural, industrial environment
