  • Provide expert advice on environmental and social risk assessment, mitigation, and management throughout project lifecycles.
  • Ensure compliance with national regulations, international standards (e.g., IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles), and client-specific requirements.
  • Engage with local communities, government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to build strong, trust-based relationships.
  • Lead or oversee social impact assessments, environmental impact assessments (EIA), and baseline studies.
  • Support grievance mechanisms and ensure that community feedback is effectively addressed.

  • Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and updates to senior management and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in environmental and social management, preferably in mining, infrastructure, energy, or similar sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of international environmental and social standards and frameworks.
  • Proven track record of working with local communities, including Indigenous groups, and managing stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in challenging environments.
  • Fluent in English; additional local languages are an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
