Your mission
We're looking for product-minded engineers to join our diverse and driven team. We really value collaboration, making an impact, and continuous learning. Our product development team is based in Berlin, but we have folks working all over Europe, and you'll work closely with an experienced and supportive team. Our products run on Google Cloud Platform.
For our data warehouse, we use DBT on BigQuery, and we automate everything with GitHub Actions.
Your profile
In topi on day to day basis you will be doing:
- Design, implement, and manage scalable and efficient data pipelines using DBT, Fivetran, and Metabase tools. Experience with similar technologies is also valued.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that align with business needs.
- Develop and maintain ELT processes to extract, load, and transform data from diverse sources into the data warehouse.
- Optimise SQL queries to enhance data analysis and reporting.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand data workflows and provide technical support.
- Diagnose and resolve data-related issues promptly.
- Build a cutting-edge development environment and CI/CD system to ensure scalability and efficiency.
- Ingest data from various external systems via APIs.
Requirements:
- Technical Skills: strong proficiency in SQL particularly for DBT or similar pipeline; experience with Python is a plus.
- Data Warehousing: hands-on experience with cloud-based data warehouses.
- Data Modeling: proficiency in designing efficient database schemas.
- Stakeholder Management: you can communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Infrastructure: proficiency in Terraform and GitHub Actions (nice-to-have).
- Collaboration: strong ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Great communication skills in English
