Objective

To ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for Luxembourg entities, support group-wide harmonization of accounting practices, and to ensure robust control over all accounting activities, we are looking for a Senior Accountant.

Reporting to: Group Accounting and Treasury Manager

Main Responsibilities
  • Control, review and analyze general ledger statements for the Luxembourg companies in context of month-end and year-end closings, including GL, AP, Payroll and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Preparation & filing of statutory Financial Statements for the Luxembourg companies (+ Ecdf format) and preparation of consolidated packages.
  • Support external audit processes and coordinate within finance team the collection of documentation and timely responses.
  • Provide support to foreign group affiliates on accounting matters, including ensuring compliance with group chart of account (PCN2020 format) and first line support in context of SAP FI module.
  • Improve accounting procedures, support actively a unified framework for financial reporting and accounting practices across all group entities and contribute to the preparation of a group-wide accounting manual.
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial reporting, process improvement, and finance projects such as ERP rollouts, choice & implementation of expense note software, vendor invoice management, accrual engine.
  • Reconciliation and mapping of intercompany accounts in preparation of the year end consolidation packages.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and improve accounting processes using ERP systems or other tools / software.
  • Serve as backup for key accounting functions, including general accounting, asset accounting, and other critical roles as needed.
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong background in financial process improvement, reconciliation, and reporting & proficiency in manipulating and analyzing large datasets using advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven initiative, adaptability, clear communication coupled with professionalism and discretion, ability to work as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
  • English and French (German is a plus).
  • Proficiency with large ERP required and SAP FI module preferred.
  • Experience in consolidation and treasury is a plus.
