The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting team. You will oversee accounting operations across multiple entities or business units in our DACH/UK region, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes. Your role is vital in streamlining accounting functions and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, supporting a centralized approach to financial reporting and practices.

How You'll Make an Impact

1. Oversee accounting functions including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and financial statement preparation for multiple entities.
2. Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and reflected in financial systems in compliance with internal controls and local GAAP.
3. Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
4. Oversee account reconciliations, ensuring proper reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and prompt resolution of discrepancies.
5. Act as the main contact for local auditors.
6. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and organizational policies.
7. Mentor junior accountants and staff within our shared service center.

What’s Important to Us

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
• Proven experience in accounting or finance.
• Experience in a senior accounting role within a shared service center or similar centralized finance environment.
• Strong experience with financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliation processes in a multi-entity or multinational setup.
• Deep understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/HGB) and financial reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP S4/Hana, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent German and English language skills.
