What you’ll build

The Solution Sales Executive (f/m/d) (SSE) focuses on solution specific sales for the cloud revenue sales motions within their Solution Area that solve customer business challenges by closely working with end-to-end account owners. Combining domain expertise, articulating the expected value to customers to achieve their outcomes and renewing solutions - the Solution Sales Executive helps the customers grow their relationship with SAP through expansion to additional solutions

  • Demand generation and opportunity management: Generate and manage pipeline opportunities, close deals, and develop compelling solution value propositions to drive customer adoption.
  • Growth strategy analysis: Conduct White Space analysis to identify growth opportunities and progress accounts toward cloud adoption or solution expansion.
  • Account relationship management: Build and maintain customer relationships at the solution area/buying center level, collaborating with wider account teams on sales campaigns and consumption drivers.
  • Business insight utilization: Apply deep knowledge of business models, strategies, and end-to-end processes to address customer needs and navigate competitive landscapes effectively.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Leverage SAP’s team of experts, industry knowledge, and partner ecosystem to deliver tailored solutions and enhance customer engagement.
  • Community engagement: Facilitate customer participation in SAP communities, programs, and events to strengthen connections and drive sustained success.
What you bring
  • Sales expertise: Proven track record of cloud software sales with overachievement of quota, demonstrated success in large transactions, and experience driving renewals, expansions, and up-sells for subscription or license-based solutions.
  • Industry and product knowledge: Several years of experience in business software/IT solution sales, with a deep understanding of BDC, SAP's innovations, and the business processes enabled by SAP’s solution portfolio to lead value-based customer conversations.
  • Negotiation and commercial skills: Strong contractual, negotiation, and deal support skills, particularly within subscription-based business models, with a results-driven approach to achieving business outcomes.
  • Strategic thinking and communication: Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, executive presence, and the ability to think strategically while applying creativity and innovation to solve customer challenges.
  • Market acumen: Knowledge of financial trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory environments to guide customer engagement and decision-making.
  • Self-driven and adaptable: Highly independent and self-motivated with a strong learning mindset, open to coaching and continuous development.
  • Language proficiency: Full working proficiency in German and Business English to seamlessly interact with customers and stakeholders.
