We seek:

In the Faculty IV: School of Science and Technology, Professur für Nachrichtentechnik, we are looking for a researcher as of the next possible date at the following conditions:

  • 100% = 39,83 hours
  • Pay grade 13 TV-L
  • limited for the duration of three years
  • Conduct research on radio-frequency integrated circuits (RFICs) for energy-efficient wireless communication and sensor systems.
  • Design and analyze subsystems and wireless devices that form the foundation of sustainable Internet of Things (IoT) and industrial communication technologies.
  • Explore system-on-chip (SoC) and system-in-package (SiP) approaches to realize highly integrated, low-power wireless devices.
  • Work within the interdisciplinary INCYTE Center for Nanoanalytics, Nanochemistry, and Cyber-Physical Sensor Technologies, benefiting from state-of-the-art laboratories and close cooperation with related disciplines.
  • All research activities encompass modeling, design, and experimental characterization of the developed components and systems.
  • Publish scientific results in international journals and conferences and actively contribute to collaborative research projects.
  • support teaching activities (e.g., in laboratory courses, exercises, or supervision of student theses).
Your profile:
  • Very good university degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in electrical engineering or an equivalent field of study (preferably with a focus on microelectronics, radio-frequency integrated circuits, or related areas).
  • Strong intrinsic motivation to pursue a PhD degree and conduct independent scientific research.
  • Interest in low-power RFIC design, wireless system architectures, and energy-efficient communication technologies.
  • Desirable: preliminary knowledge in ultra-low-power CMOS design, analog/mixed-signal circuits, or system integration techniques (SoC/SiP).
  • Analytical thinking, creativity, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Very good to excellent command of written and spoken English; German language skills are an advantage but not required.
