Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect categories, aligned with company goals and operational needs
  • Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. Sales, Product, Engineering, HR, IT, Finance) to meet business requirements
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and potential suppliers
  • Negotiate and manage complex supplier contracts in compliance with legal and ethical standards
  • Monitor supplier performance (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement in quality, service, and sustainability
  • Support ESG objectives through responsible sourcing, waste reduction, and energy-efficient practices
  • Maintain accurate procurement master data and ensure transparency in spend analysis
Qualifications
  • Degree or diploma in Procurement
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic procurement or category management, with a focus on indirect spend and services; lighting industry experience is a plus
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of delivering cost savings and value creation
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret complex data and make informed, fact-based decisions
  • Proven experience in supplier and market analysis, as well as in managing international procurement contracts
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), and business intelligence tools (e.g. Birst); familiarity with e-sourcing platforms is a plus
  • Solid knowledge of procurement best practices, sourcing strategy, and contract law
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken; independent, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
