Summary

The American Medical Center was founded in 2012 to address and help fill the needs of the Americans stationed in the Kaiserslautern Military Community. The center has expanded its services to include family practice physicians, physical therapists, psychiatrists, nutritional counseling, and veterans’ evaluation services. It provides many benefits across two locations.

Job Overview

A Psychologist/Mental health therapist provides diagnostic assessments, therapy, counseling, and support services for a diverse caseload including adults, adolescents, and families experiencing mental health issues, communication challenges, or family conflict. They work closely with community resources to support clients. These therapists can work in hospitals, schools, or private practices.

Requirements include a Master's degree in Social Work or Psychology and independent licenses such as LMFT, LICSW, or LPCC. Successful candidates are compassionate and have excellent communication skills.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience with diagnostic assessment and therapy services
  • Valid license as LMFT, LICSW, or LPCC
  • Maintain licensure and/or certification throughout employment
  • Ability to work as part of a team and flexibly, including evenings and weekends
  • Strong organizational skills
